Instructions For Motorist:

Following are the pre-requisites laid down by the R.T.O. for issuing a driving license:

  1. Keep left while driving.
  2. Do not use cell phone while driving on the road.
  3. Don't overtake from left side.
  4. Don't drive dangerously or in a zig-zag manner.
  5. Don't drive fast. Maximum speed should not exceed 50 Kmph.
  6. Follow lane discipline while driving and indicate before turning.
  7. Keep enough distance from the vehicle ahead to avoid collision.
  8. Horn should be clear and low. Dont blow it unnecessarily.
  9. Yellow Signal is to slow down and stop, not to increase speed and proceed.
  10. Zebra-crossing is for pedestrians, stop your vehicle before it.
  11. In case of an accident it's essential that the vehicle is insured to be able to claim reimbursement.
  12. Keep the vehicle in good working condition. Pay special attention to the tyres, brakes, steering system and suspension.
  13. Take care and ensure that the vehicle's seat is in good condition.
  14. Use a valid driving licence. Ensure that it is updated.
  15. Don't drive without the correct badge and a valid driving licence.
  16. If the vehicle behind you wants to overtake don't show right indicator instead use left indicator, slow down & keep left.
